Allstate's Q2 2025 Earnings: What to Expect

Valued at a market cap of $51.6 billion, The Allstate Corporation (ALL) is a leading U.S. insurance provider. As the third-largest property-casualty insurer and the largest publicly held personal lines carrier in the nation, it offers a broad range of insurance and protection products across the United States and Canada. ALL is expected to announce its fiscal Q2 2025 earnings results after the market closes on Wednesday, Jul. 30.
Ahead of this event, analysts expect the Northbrook, Illinois-based company to report an adjusted EPS of $3.26, up significantly 102.5% from $1.61 in the year-ago quarter. The company has surpassed Wall Street's earnings estimates in the last four quarters. In Q1 2025, Allstate exceeded the consensus adjusted EPS estimate by 56.2%.
For fiscal 2025, analysts expect the insurer to report an adjusted EPS of $18.26, down marginally from $18.32 in fiscal 2024. However, EPS is anticipated to grow 22.6% year-over-year to $22.38 in fiscal 2026.

Shares of Allstate have returned 21.7% over the past 52 weeks, surpassing both the S&P 500 Index's ($SPX) 11.5% rise. Nevertheless, the stock has tagged behind the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund's (XLF) 25.8% return over the same period.

Despite Allstate's better-than-expected Q1 2025 adjusted EPS of $3.53 on Apr. 30, shares fell marginally the next day. Total costs and expenses surged 14% year over year to $15.7 billion, above estimates, while catastrophe losses more than tripled to $2.2 billion, largely driven by California wildfires and March wind events. Additionally, operating revenues of $16.8 billion, though up 8.9% year-over-year, missed consensus estimates.
Analysts' consensus view on Allstate’s stock is cautiously optimistic, with a "Moderate Buy" rating overall. Among 20 analysts covering the stock, 15 recommend "Strong Buy," one "Moderate Buy," two suggest "Hold," and two give a "Strong Sell." As of writing, the stock is trading below the average analyst price target of $230.65.
